Pastor Ademola (Ade) is the founding Pastor of Overcomers Assembly network of church families. He oversees the implementation of the Overcomers Assembly Mandate and Vision with his wife Pastor Olu.

Pastor Ade Sobanjo has always known that God has a call on his life. He has been involved in the church since he committed his life to Christ at an early age of 8. He has served in all the christian fellowships of the schools he attended from high school until his prograduagte program in Canada.

Pastor Ade as he is fondly called, started his christian ministry at his high school, Federal Government College, Minna, Nigeria first as a chorister and then as the Evangelism Director of the Christian Fellowship in 1990. He was the Follow-up Secretary of the Evangelical Christian Union at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in 1995. During this time he was responsible for teaching new converts and first year students the basic tenets of the Christian Faith. The Lord has always confirmed Pastor Ade’s ministry with growth and several answers to prayers.

Pastor Ade was trained as a Christian worker at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, and a Youth Minister, ministering to High School Students in Lagos State, Nigeria. Before stepping out in faith to plant Overcomers Assembly, Pastor Ade, was the Youth Pastor of Redemption Bible Church in Montreal. He is still very much loved by the Redemption Bible Church family.

Pastor Ade Sobanjo has a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering. He has a post graduate diploma in computer Science, a Bachelors of Arts in Theology.  He was the President of DemsTech Inc an IT company started by him before he was called into full-time Ministry. Pastor Ade Sobanjo is still a part-time partner in the Publishing company, Afropages Magazine – another one of Pastor Ade’s brain child.

Pastor Ade has a passion for youths. His passion in life is to help people locate their calling in life, and to be excellent at it. He is well known for his passionate and engaging delivery of the word of God. He hosts a personal blog where he shares his life and some of the lessons he learns on his Christian Journey. You can also get a copy of his book titled “You can be like Jesus” on his website or subcribe to his weekly podcast for Christian workers in the secular world.

Pastor Ade is married to Oluwaseun (Olu) Sobanjo also a pastor and business coach.  They are blessed with 2 sons Demi Sobanjo born in Dec 2006 and Dami born in June 2010.

Pastor Olu has been involved in the Christian walk and ministry all of her adult life and has served alongside her husband since the inception of Overcomers’ Assembly, which was a year after their marriage. She is a frank speaker; she draws a lot from her accounting and finance background while working solely to complement her husband’s ministry. She serves as the the assistant lead pastor of the Overcomers Assembly and the regional pastor of the Cornwall Simple Churches. She is the founder of the amazing Vessels of Grace Conference which has held annually since May of 2007.

Earlier on in her walk, she was more concerned about her activities, which made her to do everything outwardly, until she decided to seek God for herself; allowing God to change her from the inside out and discovering the joy of being God’s own daughter. She therefore passionately teaches people to go for more in God. She enjoys encouraging ladies to go deeper in their relationship with God. To enjoy the rest, the joy and the victory that comes with knowing and walking with God.

In July 2012, she surrendered to God’s will by deciding to resign from her 5-years financial planning career to pastor full time with her husband at the Church.
